What are acceptable forms of Identification?:

What happens when a signer does not have proper identification? California state law states that creating a "chain of knowledge" is an acceptable form of identification. If a signer does not have an acceptable form of identification as listed above, a notary can rely on the oath of two identifying witnesses to the signing who possess proper identification.
Can an incomplete document be notarized? A notary public may not notarize a document that is either blank or incomplete as notarized documents are of a legal nature. This if for the public's protection from the widespread occurrence of fraud.
