Parental Consent Forms for Travel

Are you ready for your summer vacation plans? As we open up and are allowed to travel, it will be important to make sure all your paperwork is in order — especially if you have children that might be traveling without one or both of their parents. A child travel consent form is typically used for minors when they travel without their parents and is a document that would require notarization. This could include when minors travel with just one of their parents, a friend, or an organization like a church group.

We aren’t allowed by the State of California to provide you with this document or advise you as to the content needed. We will often, however, be notarizing one or both parents’ signatures on the document before a trip. Any signer would need a valid, unexpired ID for us to conduct the notarization and we’d likely be attaching a notary acknowledgment for to the document. Often, parents put the document in an envelope with the minor’s in-flight bag in case it is needed.

Call or text us at 805-335-8360 if you have any questions or would like to set up an appointment.
